East Beach is to the right (down east) of the lighthouse and stretches almost twenty miles to Point Judith and Newport. Napatree Beach is to the left (west) in front of Watch Hill Harbor and the Village. Napatree beach is about one mile long terminating at Fort Napatree. Little Naragansett Bay is behind Napatree Beach. The house is on the bay at the mouth of the river.
